What are the benefits of participating in the 2010 Executive Compensation Survey for Small and Mid-size Businesses?

This survey gives business owners and their HR teams the opportunity to compare their company's executive compensation and benefits plans to industry and the broader market. 

Who is eligible to participate in this survey?

This survey is designed specifically for businesses with revenues up to $200 million. Larger companies can participate in other executive compensation surveys developed by D. G. McDermott Associates.  

Who developed this survey?

D.G. McDermott Associates developed this survey in collaboration with the Rider University College of  Business Administration. 

Why is this survey different from other executive compensation surveys?

Small and mid-size businesses have not had sources of reliable, unbiased third-party data that can help them benchmark their executive pay and benefits plans against a broad cross section of similar companies. The McDermott-Rider Executive Compensation Survey is the first tailored for public and private middle-market companies. It offers confidential, real-world comparisons to other middle-market companies.

What reports do participants receive?

Survey participants receive a customized analysis for 20 senior management titles. Comparisons by geography, number of employees, revenues, ownership type and industry category are also included.

The survey report will include information about various practices relating to incentives, perquisites and benefits.

What is the cost to participate in the survey and receive my customized report?

The cost is $495 per company. Enrollment is open for a limited time.

When does the survey close?

The survey closes September 30, 2010. All surveys must be completed and submitted by that date.

When do I receive my customized report?

Your customized report will be sent to you, after we receive payment, by October 30, 2010.

What data do I need to input to the survey?

For each position title relevant for your company, you will need to input base salary as of 7-1-10; short-term incentives paid for the last fiscal year; and long-term incentives paid for the last fiscal year.   

How do I pay for survey participation?

You can use any credit card - Amex, Mastercard, Visa or Discover - and pay through our PayPal Merchant Account. Specific payment instructions will be provided to you after you complete your survey and you are notified that your report is available.
